General electrical work: installation, renovation and RGIE compliance
From new-build houses to older flats, we design and build safe installations that comply with the RGIE/AREI (Belgium's General Regulations on Electrical Installations) and are made to last. Every job ends with testing, up-to-date single-line diagrams and layout plans, and preparation for inspection by an approved body.

FAQ
FAQ: general electrical work
When is an RGIE inspection required?
An inspection by an approved body is required before a new installation is put into service or after a major modification, when a home is sold, and then periodically: every 25 years for domestic installations and every 5 years for non-domestic ones. We prepare the installation, diagrams and plans so that the report is positive.
The inspection at sale failed: what now?
The report lists the non-conformities to be fixed, and the buyer has 18 months from the deed to have them corrected and re-inspected. We price every point of the report, carry out the work and prepare the new inspection.
Which VAT rate applies to electrical renovation?
For a private home more than 10 years old, renovation work may qualify for the reduced 6% rate, subject to conditions (work invoiced directly to the owner or end occupant). We check your situation and state it on the quote.
